I'm a little freaked out here, so if
anyone knows an answer PLEASE reply.
I gave birth two weeks ago to a beautiful
baby boy...
I know there is supposed to be bleeding
after giving birth but, here's the thing.
The Bleeding seemed to taper off to non
existence when all of a sudden tonight I
had a huge pocket of blood released, with
a large clot. The blood was on the
brightish red side, but the clot was
dark... I washed off, and am now sitting
here looking for an answer online... IS
THIS NORMAL? Should I worry?
I know it might just be the rest of my
placenta releasing from the uterus... but,
is it normal for post pardom bleeding to
stop... and then come back with a vengence
for a brief second?
Once again, I'm a little freaked out, so
any help easing my mind would be great...

If you've only passed one clot, I would
try not to worry. If you start to feel
faint at all, or notice heavy bleeding, or
pass more clots... definitely contact your
doctor as soon as possible.
If you don't have any more problems, just
remember to mention this clot at your
postpartum checkup.
