OK so I just started taking BC
(microgestin) last Sunday after I had
gotten my period that Saturday. Normally
my periods only last like 4 days tops but
its already next Monday and I still am
bleeding pretty heavily. Is this normal? I
would think if anything the BC would
lighten my period.
Also..for people with a Sunday start on
BC. Is it true that you'll never get your
period on the weekend. Thats what my
doctor told me but I know I was reading
another post and people said that after
taking the non active pills your period
normally starts on Wednesday so I don't
see how you could only have your period
for like 2 days.

Breakthrough bleeding and spotting is
common when starting bc but they do change
usually become lighter) as your body
adjusts to the extra hormones.

Every woman is different; and if they
start their period on wedesday as I do, I
am still sometimes bleeding on saturday,
so it's totally possible to have your
period on the weekend.
It may take a few months for it to lighten
your period.
