Am I the Father?

Hi
I had sex with a girl almost everyday from
December 19th through January 1st.
I have not seen her since.
On March 23 she called me to let me know
she is pregnant. She told me the fetus is
8.5 weeks old.
I think the numbers do not match.
I think I am not the father. Am I right?
(I would love to be the father!)
When should be the due date for the baby?

if she is 8.5 weeks on march 23rd then she
conceived around feb 5th or so.
i'm sorry, but it doesn't sound like
you're the father.

On March 23 she told me the fetus is 8.5
weeks old. If I understand well, that
means she is on her 10.5 week from LMP
(last menstrual cycle).
But, still I am afraid I am not the
father. According to my calculations she
conceived around January 22nd. Am I
right?

We live in different countries. Last
December I went to visit her for
Christmas. I was planning to marry her
later this year and live together here.

oh, ok....it doesnt seem like you are the
father, but the only way to say for sure
is a dna test once the baby is born.

if she had any sexual partner after the
time we were together in December. I do
not want to hurt her, but it is important
for me to know the truth.

Well, let me just say this. If she was
with another man, would you still want to
marry her? Because if that doesn't matter
to you, the paternity of the baby
shouldn't either. You can still be a
father to this child if you really wanted
to.
If it doesn't matter to you, maybe you
shouldn't ask. Although I think you should
know one way or another. I don't believe
that relationships built on lies can last.
But at the end of the day, donating the
sperm does not make you a father. If you
really want this baby to be yours, then
paternity shouldn't stop you.

If you being the father or not would
effect your future together then I would
approach things tactfully. You may want to
tell her that you were looking things up
on the internet and that the dates don't
match up. Ask her if she has had a dating
sonogram done or if they are going off of
her lmp. Tell her the reason that you are
concerned is that she may be further along
than what she believes. I wouldn't
approach it in an accusing way, more of a
concerned way (which is what you seem to
be). See how she handles the situation.
She may just be further along than she
thinks.

(from March 23):
CRL 20.4 mm
GA 8 weeks 6 days +- 4 days
The last time we had sex was December 31,
2006.
Definetely numbers don't match up.
PLease, let me know what you think. When
her due date should be, base on this
sonogram?

think going back in the calendar
conception will be at the end of January

ok, if she was 8 weeks 6 days pregnant on
3/23, she conceived around february 2nd
and she'd be due around october 26th.
but if the baby's gestational age was 8w
6d, then she conceived around january 19th
and she'd be due around october 12th.
either way, you are not the father. if she
had conceived on december 31st (the last
time you had sex), she'd be about 14 weeks
along.

Ok, here's what i got:
Ultrasound was taken on .march 23rd, 8
weeks 6 days after her last menstrual
period (lmp). This puts her last period on
.january 20th, and the conception date was
around .february 3rd.
Sorry, but i highly doubt you are the
father.
