Help, I Think I'm Pregnant Posted: 03-27-07 12:41pm
ok, we had sex a bunch of times on the
17th ( like 4 or 5 times, please dont call
me !$@%@ or anything). We didn't use any
protection cause it was kinda random. My
last period was on the 4th. I missed my
period this weekend and told him. He went
and got tests and they were all positive.
What do i do?
I don't want to tell my parents, cause
they dont even know i have a boyfriend.
He's a lot older then me and im scared
that if i am pregnant then they make be
get rid of it. Can they do that?
Please help. I'm kinda skared.

How old are you?
I don't think your parents can legally
force you to have an abortion but they can
certainly put a lot of pressure on you.
The best thing to do is go and see your
doctor and get some blood tests done to
confirm the pregnancy. If you are sure
about wanting to keep the baby then you
will need to receive medical care and
start taking some pre-natal vitamins so
you can help make your baby healthy.

i did the test the 25th( 2 days ago). my
period usually really perdictable. How
long do i have to wait for the tests to be
good?
and no this was the first time we did it
w/o protection. we did it the first time
in January. he usually wears a condom,
but it was kinda random and he didnt have
any on him.
and can i do all that doctor stuff with
out my parents finding out?

i'm sure if you are pregnant your parents
are going to find out anyway, it'd
probably be easier to just tell them and
get it over with
thats just me.

i realy dont want to tell them cause they
realy hate kids geting pregnant. They
kicked my brother out when his gf ended up
pregnant, he was 16.
if i tell them they are gona blow up, and
i just know theyd call the cops er
somethin. I could probly tell my brother,
he doesnt talk to my parents so i doubt he
would tell them ( they dont speak, at all.
im the only one with his number). But i
realy dont want to tell him and have it
end up not being true. How long till the
tests would be right?

Wellll you said you missed your period so
they should be right...right now.
that's really sad that your parents kicked
your brother out and pretty much disowned
him, i understand why you wouldn't want to
tell them. why don't you wait a few more
days, take another test and if it still
says positive then tell your brother? But
what can he do? eventually your parents
are going to find out unless you plan on
getting an abortion.
but just so you know, pregnancy isn't the
end of the world, it makes things harder
but it's definitely not the end of the
world. and if your parents can't see that
then i feel sorry for them. pm me if you
want to talk.

well i told my brother. he freaked a
little bit ( like when he found out who
the father was). there was lots of crying.
He said he'd help me tell my parents (
its gona be a long weekend) and incase my
parents kick me out hes already talked to
his wife about me living at their house.
Shes fine with the idea.
we're planing on going to the doctors
monday. my only wory is that they might
need my parents to sign tings and if they
kick me out.....
think my brother would be able to do the
signing in that case?
oh and PurestGreen, sorry i didnt see your
question before. 13.

If your parent kick you out they can name
your brother your medical gaurdian. You
can type out a letter something along the
lines of...We (your parents name) allow
(your brothers name) to issue/allow
medical treatment to (your name) in our
absence. Then have it noterized and your
good to go. Congratulations on the
pregnancy. It won't be easy, but you are
very fortunate to have your brother and
his wife there to help you. Many people go
though this alone, it makes it easier to
cope with support. Have you told the
father?

Thirteen? Sweetie, you are just a baby
yourself. Might I suggest you look into
adoption? That is not as heartless as it
may first sound. You have your entire life
to look forward to - and a very lot of
growing up to be done. Keep an open mind.
Good luck with your parents.

All parents are going to be different.
Just as everyone's relationship with their
parents is different.
If you suspect you are pregnant, go to
planned parenthood and they'll give you a
pregnancy test. It is free and they don't
tell your parents. If you are not
pregnant, get some birth control. Again,
it's free so foolish not to use. If you
are pregnant, decide what you are going to
do and have a solid plan before you tell
your parents. Because they will ask you,
"What are you going to do?" And you'll
have to figure out something better to say
than, "I don't know."
