4 Month Shot! Posted: 03-27-07 14:13pm
Christian had his shot today ..all went
well cried for 2 min. So he now weighs
17.6 lbs, he is 26 inches long, and his
head is 44.5 . She gave me the chart for
starting solids because he sits up and
gets up with little help, holds his head
since birth and also because he drinks
over 35 oz daily. Yippie my big boy is
sure big!!!!!!!!!!!

what a big boy! he's catching up to finn!
what did the solids chart have on it? i'm
still a little confused about some stuff.
have fun feeding him! i love giving finn
food and he *loves* eating it.

well, actually hes been eating cereal for
a long time now but i meant fruits and
veggies...she said he was ready.
yeah i'll post some.
pm me girl! we'll talk...its just hard to
be on nowadays because he is awake all day

lol basically what the jars and cereal
boxes tell you ..however, this chart
explains when to feed them and what to mix
at what age in detail...ill try to get you
a copy send it by email.

i just don't know when i would start
feeding him twice a day, then 3 times. and
i don't know when i start giving him a
fruit and a vegetable during the same
meal.
basically, i guess i don't know how to go
about increasing his food intake until
he's eating 3 normal meals a day.
we're only on day 4, right now i'm giving
him 1 tablespoon of rice cereal mixed with
water and 1/2 a thing of sweet potatoes
between his afternoon bottles. with just
that one meal we're already down to 4
bottles a day from 5.

yeah i was confused too.
how much cereal is he getting? 7-8
tablespoons with 3-4oz of milk or water
right? if so, then you give him that for
breakfast with some milk.
they say for lunch you give half the
veggies with half fruit.
and dinner time some veggies and cereal .
and last feeding is before bed time should
be milk.
if he wont take his milk after his meals
you can use them inbetween feeding as a
snack .
Increase his solids after 2 weeks to full
servings. If you see he is having a hard
time poo-ing get a jar of prunes and mix
in 2 spoons in his other fruits. and dont
be alarmed if he wont poo everyday, its
normal . his body is adjusting. and also
they say that at 4 months there is no need
to boil he water anymore...Happy feeding
!! lol
