Nausea after gallbladder removal
Posted: 03-28-07 09:33am

I have had my gallbladder removed lapro 4 months ago, the nausea has gotten somewhat (slightly) better. I am occasionally bloated with pain. But the nausea is constant. My primay care physican said anywhere from 4-6 months if not a year for the nausea to go away. Another Dr. Said that my bloodwork is perfect. I have no back pain. SOME loose stools, digestion ok, my appetite is good. HOWEVER, this nausea is driving me a bit crazy. I wake up at night at times from it. IS this normal, DOES it really take up to a year for the body to adjust. I Have had a second oponion and the internest agrees with my PCP. What do you think?

It seems that you had been suffering from nausea for a very long time before your gallbladder was removed. It seems likely that you can stand the discomfort for another several months after gallbladder removal. If gallbladder removal doesn’t help ease the discomfort of these symptoms, then it probably means that the gallbladder wasn’t the reason for your nausea.
