He is so cute! Awwww! I love how he really looks like he's trying to do it!

What book is that? Alyvia has a little library started already, but of course she only slaps at the pages. I read to her often, though. I really hope I can teach her to love reading as much as I do. I have these daydreams of taking my little .alyvia to the library and letting her pick out books!

*sigh* books are awesome. Smile

thanks girls!

he actually turns the pages and examines the pictures, i thought that seemed a little advanced for 5 months but i don't know.

laura, i really want him to have a love of books too. i started buying books for him when i was pregnant because i worked at a toy store that had an awesome book selection and i got them for 40% off. the book he's looking at here is "the pigeon has feelings too" by mo willems. we have all of mo's books, they're awesome and the pigeon books are hilarious!

I really want to get the .beatrix .potter books for .alyvia. We picked up one the other day from .books a .million, but only because it was on clearance. Right now she's more at a "oooh colors" stage than "oooh bunny". That and "I think I shall slap this! Hmm, different noise. Now I shall slap this!"

.i've never heard of .mo .willems. I'll have to check him out!

i love reading and i really want finn to love it too. nick reads to him every night, it's part of his bedtime routine, and he really seems to enjoy it. we have tons of books and i'm going to teach him to respect them. i used to babysit these kids and every one of their books had scribbling in them or pages torn and that's just not cool with me.

we don't have any bath books but i know the store i used to work at has them so maybe i'll pick one up next time i'm there. thanks for the suggestion!

I'm the *same* way! The other day, .baron was reading her a peanuts boook and she grabbed the cover page and tried to turn it. WHen she did, it ripped and I got pissed!! It was an accident, but it hurt my heart!
Thank .god it was just the cover sheet and I could tape it!!

We got her this .safari book called "peek a boo safari" from the zoo, but it's a "lamaze" brand! She looooooves it!! ANd you can peek your face through each page!!!

I also got her this book that you can snip a lil pic of the baba and replace it. It has a lion face, zebra, etc. and it's all .oni's pic!!!!
