I'm hoping someone here has some
information on long standing
headache/migraine situations - or can
point me in the right direction.
I've had a headache for a little over six
months now. Medicine doesn't do much for
more than about three hours at a time. I
went to a doctor after three weeks, but
she put it off as allergies and gave me a
mess of pills that haven't helped at all.
I haven't been back since.
The problem is that I don't know exactly
how serious this could be, or not be. I
have a number of symptoms that accompany
my headache. This headache could just be
a side effect of something else, but I
don't know. I don't even know where to
start looking.
Do any of you have an idea where to go to
find information on what kind of condition
this could be?
Btw - if it helps anything, other symptoms
i've been experiencing on a continual
basis are intense constant nausea,
frequent dizziness, bouts of shaking,
increased heartrate (occasionally)...

I have at least two migraines a month,
putting me out of commission, vomiting and
so on, my physician gave me a medicene
that is called fioricet, it really does
work. I have tried everything else, and
nothing works, but this medicene has
helped me. It help to releasr blood
vessels that are constricted from the
headache, and neck. Ask your Dr. About
it.

Hey, can one of ya'll help me out. I
almost 16 years old, and never had a real
headache of any kind unitl recently. I'd
get the occasional twinge, but nothing
major. Well since this past june, I have
been getting these terrible headaches
either a couple inches next to my left ear
or the side of my head. They vary in
pain, somtimes not to bad...But other
times unbearable. I have a head ache
atleast 5 of the days of the week. Just
starting in the end of augest my vision
has been blurring a little, and i've been
dizzy and exhausted (although I don't know
how much of that is attributed with
school.) I don't know if I should get it
checked out, or if im just worrying about
nothing. I'm wondering if their migranes.
They run in my family, but I don't see
spots or get nausea or any of those other
symptoms. I was also thinking it could
be allergies, but i'm already on a load of
medication for them. Other then that I
have no clue what it could be. Thanks a
bunch.

Hey, ok my name is brandi and i'm 18 years
old. I have had migraines since I was 4.
I have tried all kinds of medication and
have been through all the test. No one
has been able to tell me why I am having
these headaches or how I can stop them.
Just depending on how bad they are
sometimes over the counter things work
then sometimes I have to go to the er to
get a pain shot. My Dr. And I thought we
had found a med. Because it has worked
for a year with not as many (or bad) of
headaches. Now he has had to double the
med. But it is back to working. If you
wont to know what kind of med.

An easy fix that might be happening is
nutrition- I had headaches for years and
finally a doctor recommended nutritional
supplements and now I feel better.
Obviously , that's not everyone's problem,
but it's an easy fix if it works.
