Problem Reaching Orgasm By Masturbation Posted: 03-30-07 15:25pm
I've never been able to have an orgasm by
regular means of masturbation. Using a
vibrators works but I'd like to be able to
do it by myself. I was wondering if there
was any way to help me be able to reach an
orgasm or if anyone had any advice. I'm 16
years old, and I'm a little embarrassed to
ask my mom.

Needing a vibrator or other form of
external stimulation of the clitoris is
totally normal.
What most women don't know is this:
1. Most women do not orgasm via the
vagina.
2. Most women have difficulty orgasming
via the clitoris without additional
stimulation beyond the fingers.
if you would like to try to orgasm just
using your fingers, then set out a long
patch of time... and just masturbate.
Don't necessarily go for orgasm, just go
for pleasure. Personally for me, a
side-to-side motion feels the best. If you
get frustrated, you can always finish with
the vibrator.

Thanks for the advice. I was just looking
around on other websites before I found
this one and it said that using a vibrator
would "numb" the clitoris and make it
harder to enjoy sex. I'm not sexually
active, but it I plan to once I turn 18,
so I was a little worried.

I've also read that vibrators can damage
the nerves, causing the need for more
stimulation. However, I can't comment more
on it other than that short blurp I've
read.
Another thing of interest I've read is
that histamine levels can play a role in
the ability to orgasm. High levels makes
it easier to achieve, and lower levels
makes it more difficult. Histamine is
created by the amino acid Histidine found
in proteins. It can be taken in supplement
form as well, since proteins contain other
amino acids, such as Methionine which
would actually decrease Histamine.
Of course, I'm not suggesting that's your
problem or that you should start
supplementing Histidine. A doctor could
test your Histamine levels, and perhaps be
able to give your more info on why you
have difficulty achieving orgasm.
