Looking For Help

I posted something similar on the headache/migraine forum, so I apologize if you are seeing this for the second time.

I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to finding some information on what i've been going through for the last few months.

I seem to have a constant, intense nausea. It doesn't seem to be food related, though the thought of eating makes me sick sometimes. I tested it by going on a liquid diet for about two weeks but it didn't help much. Nothing seems to be causing it, and nothing seems to help. I cannot seem to vomit, however.

Along with that, i've had a migraine that started about two months before the nausea started. It's going on six months now. I get very frequent bouts of dizziness and shakiness.

I went to a doctor some months back, who dismissed the situation as allergenic and left me on my own. I haven't had the money to try again.

Do any of you have suggestions on what could be causing this, or where I could start looking for information? I'm way out of my depth here.

Hrm...First things first....Even though a doctor dismissed your concerns, I would definately go to another. You yourself know that there is something wrong with your body and the way you feel...Be persistant until a doctor pays attention. Maybe check with your own personal doctor for a referal to a specialist. I know a condition called candida does cause migraines, problems with appetite, and overall fatigue, but I am not sure if it also gives a nausious feeling. I do know that nausia goes hand in hand with migraines, so maybe get your doctor to test you to see if you fall under the chronic migraine category...If you do, there are perscription drugs that help. In the meantime, try some anti-nausia medication like gravol...Works like a charm! But as I said, don't give up. Find a doctor who will pay attention to your concerns.

Smile

I get migranes frequently. One of the symptoms I get is nausea...It's weird...Food totally turns me off during migrane...But normally..I love to eat!!! Taking any medicine when you don't eat will definitely upset it more. I love and take advil migrane (gel caps). It's the only non-perscription medicine that seems to work. When I take it; I get the shakes b/c I haven't eaten (b/c of nausea). It's a viscious cycle!! Twisted Evil try to get rid of the headache and I bet the rest will fall in place.

I had those same symptoms before and got so frustrated over what was going on...The first time it happened I was diagnosed with vertigo...Very very horrible thing.....Second time my doc didnt think that was it, so I went to a neurologist to get a second opinion...He told me that what I was experiencing were migraine headaches...Minus the headache....Its kinda weird, but he told me a lot of people suffer from them but dont realize it because it doesnt come across as a "headache"...I would def. Talk to either your primary doctor or a neurologist about this, because it could be a possibility....Good luck, and dont give up until youve found the answers ur looking for
