Yeah, he's coming back tomorrow... I'm not looking forward to it at all. I'm going to try not to worry about it. I'll update you ladies tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

So far he's trying to irritate and intimidate me by hovering over me. I managed to get rid of him. If this is going to be a pattern and the company is not going to stick up for me, then I'll be quitting a lot sooner than expected.

LMAO!

kay, punch him in the balls next time he tries to hover over you. Does this person not do their job? Why must he hover? Does he talk to you? I would play nice, and kill him with kindness. And then if that doesn't work, use .mel's method.

I was actually thinking of turning around really fast in your chair and hitting him (accidently on purpose). Or sneeze on him.

lol you ladies are the bright spot in an otherwise sh*tty day. i hate this guy soooo much, and it's seriously getting to me that I even have to work with him. I'm even more depressed if it's possible. They hung all these welcome back banners everywhere and I seriously want to rip them down and set them on fire and then throw him in. But the turn around really fast and elbow him in the balls thing sounds kind of good!

We're the only two employees on site. I know the higher ups have to be protecting him because he's a rat. he's had problems with every other manager that's been here the past 15 years but for whatever reason they're gone but he's still here. I read his file, this is a trend for him. The insubordination, threatening behavior, etc... it's nothing new for him, but he hasn't been fired. Rolling Eyes Yeah, that boosts morale in the workplace, not!

*edited to add* the tenants hung the banners, i manage an apartment complex.

Have you logged a formal complaint about his harassing behavior?

Three to date. He jumped in my face and I thought that would be the deal breaker, but no. He's still here.

Since you are already contemplating resigning, you may want to consider going a legal route. You could tell them that if they do not do something to protect you in your workplace, (after you have given them written acknowledgment of what is going on and ample time to to correct the situation) and discontinue supporting a hostile work environment. That you will be forced to contact an attorney and attempt to rectify the situation legally. Just a suggestion.

That's a great idea! Should I wait for him to do something else to make the case stronger?

Honestly I would suggest that you go ahead and speak to an attorney. Most of them will do a free consultation. They will be able to tell you if you have a case. Or what you need to solidify a case. You may already have enough or you may still have a few steps missing. Just don't go to a consultation that is not complimentary.
