Frequent & difficult urination at night Posted: 04-02-07 14:23pm
when I laid down before going to sleep and
when I get up in the morning, the lower
parts of my legs, mainly the right one,
bother me for a while before the feeling
it's gone; also I find myself going to the
bathroom 4 or 5 times a night, to urinate,
sometimes having to wait until I'm able to
do it. Thank you . Carlos
According to your description, it seems
that you are experiencing two problems:
1. An unpleasant feeling in your legs when
going to sleep or waking up. The sensation
could be due to diabetic neuropathy.
Diabetic neuropathy is one of the long
term complications of diabetes mellitus.
You may consult a neurologist for more
information about this condition.
2. Frequent and difficult urination during
the night. Urination could be due to
prostate hyperplasia. Prostate hyperplasia
is a common disorder in men after age of
50. The etiology, or cause, of the
condition is unknown. Prostate cancer
should be also excluded. You may consult a
urologist to follow up and request
diagnostic tests for this.
