I know the laws in florida are different than in most states...and it also depends on the girls parents. Are they going to press charges? You need to look into the laws of your state.

USA Alabama 16
USA Alaska 16
USA Arizona 18
USA Arkansas 16
USA California 18
USA Colorado 15/17
USA Connecticut 16
USA D.C. 16
USA Delaware 16/18
USA Florida 16/18
USA Georgia 16
USA Hawaii 16
USA Idaho 16/18
USA Illinois 17
USA Indiana 16
USA Iowa13 14/16
USA Kansas 16
USA Kentucky 16
USA Louisiana 17
USA Maine 16
USA Maryland 16
USA Massachusetts 16
USA Michigan 16
USA Minnesota 16
USA Mississippi 16
USA Missouri13 14/17
USA Montana 16/18

USA Nebraska 17
USA Nevada 16

USA New Hampshire 16
USA New Jersey 16
USA New Mexico 17
USA New York 17
USA North Carolina 16
USA North Dakota 18
USA Ohio 16
USA Oklahoma 16
USA Oregon 18
USA Pennsylvania 16
USA Rhode Island 16
USA South Carolina14/16
USA South Dakota 16
USA Tennessee 18
USA Texas13 17
USA Utah13 16/18
USA Vermont 16
USA Virginia 18
USA Washington 16/18
USA West Virginia 16
USA Wisconsin 18
USA Wyoming 16/18?
USA Traveling Citizens 18

when you have the 16/18 it means that 16 if the man/woman is 18-25 or 30 is ok for 16 and up, but if the insured is above 25-30 (depends on the state) it's not good.

good luck to you.

Go to Goggle or Dogpile and type in Wisconsin State Laws...there should be lots of sites that will come up and tell you what you are looking for. Oh, and for the record, this does not make you a bad person....an irresponsible one maybe, but not a bad person. You do need to be willing to step up to the plate and take on whatever is required of you. If this means playing "daddy" and paying child support, you be the best Dad you can be. I do hope from now on, if you are gonna try on the shoes....wear socks!

I'm assuming that means anyone over 18 cannot legally have sex with a person under the age of 18.

Think Positive
Posted: 04-03-07 16:09pm

You have shared very little so we aren't really aware of the circumstances, but in any event, even if you were to get some time, you would still be the father........... Think postive, are you 100% this girl is pregnant, how young is she? I believe if parents force hte issue you could be in some trouble, have you talked with them at all?

she is 17. We still dont know if she is pregnant for sure. she went to the doctor and the test said she wasnt....but it might be too early to tell. She said the doc said she didnt have to tell her parents who the father was.....but i dont know if that would even protect me from going to jail or not....i dont know how things work. I will probably have to talk to the parents if she is preg. and hope that they dont try to kill me

Where abouts in .w.i are you? Better not be any of my nieces!!!!!!! Shocked j/k!
And if the dr. says she's not pregnant, then she's probably not. Especially if you used protection every time.

good question, where in wisconsin are you, better not be anyone i know lol

i know this will sound harsh and mean but if shes 17 why dont you keep it in your pants for a few more monthes and you wont have to worry?

if the doc says the test was neg (im assuming since it was a doc not a preg center thing, it was a blood test) then she isnt, especially if she missed her period already

at 17 it would most likely depend on her parents, the state usualy wont do anything at that age because she is almost 18

sorry i cant be of more help

oh and the only way that would make you a bad person is if you raped her, which it doesnt sound like, you were just irresponsible and didnt think (even if you used protection, you still must have known it could happen and if it did there would be consequences, which makes you irresponcible, sorry but thats that facts)

i dont know...she told me the doctor said she needed to go back in 2 weeks to make sure. The test she did at the hospital came out negative....but the ones she took on her own at home said positive. I know it was irresponsible....i even told her i didnt want to do it anymore before this happened....but it was to late. I guess I just have to wait untill she goes back to the doc to know for sure if she is or not.

Did she take the home test before or after she went to the doctor?

If she took it before, it's possible she didn't test correctly. If you wait longer than (I think) 10 minutes, an evaporation line will form which might make the test look positive.

I would trust the hospital. If she got a positive at home, she should have gotten a positive at the hospital.

True. True.

Sounds to me like this is a lot of worry over nothing. Besides, she is 17 - and from the looks of it, you won't be 'convicted' of a crime.

hmm...well the doctor said that they needed to retset to make sure it was accurate. She did take the home test before she went to the doctor.

the doc said it that the test she took there was negative and she had to come back in 2 weeks because it might be too early to tell. That is all i know.
