Unexplained Migraines And Lump On Chest...related?? Posted: 04-03-07 18:46pm
for the past month or so I've been getting
really bad unexplained migraines...it
doesn't start with a small headache, it
goes straight to a migraine for no reason
at all...ill be bending down to pick
something up and all of a sudden my head
starts pounding and i get all dizzy and
then i go to lay down and it gets
worse...i try putting a heating pack on my
head and it hurts like hell...it starts
out in my neck and then radiates to the
top of my head....the last time i had them
this bad i had to have surgery because
there was excess fluid putting pressure on
my brain and id have migraines to the
point where id black out...and i was just
wondering if anyone knew what i could
do.......oh and then just today i find a
lump or a big bump or whatever on my
chest...its not on my breast its more up
by my neckbone...well right in between..on
the left side....what do you think it
could be??!! please help me....Lyssa

Honestly, I have no idea. Because you have
had such compliations in the past I
strongly suggest that you contact your
doctor ASAP. Keep us posted!

This sounds a lot like me. I had that
lump for about 30 minutes when I was 20
after getting out of a hot spring. I had
a horrific migraine. Always had
headaches, but now that i think about it
they didn't become actual vomitting
migraines until I was 20. Been having
strangling attacks as well, getting
progressively worse. I am disabled by my
migraines and inject myself daily with
immitrex. I have an average of 3 days /
month without significant headache.
Getting chest pains and strangling attacks
that lead up to the migraines. I shake,
then feel fine, just a little tight, then
the headache comes and radiates from my
neck and the back of my skull all over,
usually settling predominantly on one
side. Doctors have never tested my heart.
They said I was to young to have
problems. They just put me on psych
meds...saying it was panic attacks. The
meds never helped.
Started seeing a new neurologist and he
found a large PFO....which is a shunt
between the left and right atrium of the
heart. Now I'm remembering all those
strange cardiac symptoms and am wondering
if they are not panic attacks.
