Well, today I went into the lab for the
pelvic ultrasound, and I won't know
anything about that for a week. But I did
go in to see the doc about the results
from the first ultrasound, (abdominal)
and I got some news.... I'm kind of in
shock because it's completley unrelated to
my "female plumbing" problems. Seems I
have something called "tricuspid
inssufficiency". Apparently this means
there could be a leak in one of my valves
to my heart. He listened to my chest and
sure enough there's a murror. He said it
could explain why i'm always tired and
have low energy, and why I recently lost a
whack load of weight. So he's setting up
a cardeo sumthin rather ultra sound to get
a better look. This will be done in the
actual hospital. If anyone knows anthing
about this, i'd love to hear about it.
Ps. Abdomen still crampy and sore.

Sad to hear, but at least now you know
what is wrong and can get it treated.
Good luck keep in touch.

Wow I wasn't expecting that. I am also
glad that you know what it is, but is that
what is making you cramp? Or is it just
causing other symptoms? Either way, take
care of yourself!

Well I've Done Some Research... Posted: 02-19-04 05:12am
So i've done some research, looked back on
my health over the past six months, and I
have to say that i'm a bit scared. I'm
only 31 years old, i'm a single mom to a
beautiful almost four year old little boy.
Aparently, abdominal pain or swelling can
be a symptom of heart valve disease. So
can rapid weight weight loss, fatigue,
tiredness, being easily exerted. All of which I have.
Hmmm... I'm just waiting now... Seems
where I live (western canada) we're a bit
backed up, but in mid march i'll be having
my echocardio-sonic-ultrasound. As for
the moment, i'm going to take some r&r
and head to vancouver for a few days.
I've only joined this forum recently, but
I have to say that just knowing that I can
chat, read, vent, listen, is fabulous.
Thanx for responding
luv fairysweetie

I too feel much better since I joined this
forum it gives you chance to get things
off your chest without constantly moaning
on to your family and to people who
understand what youre going through. One
thing that did surprise me though is how
long you guys in canada have to wait for
treatment, im in england where everyone
constantly moans about the nhs and its
waiting lists but I only had to wait 3
days for my first scan and 2 weeks to see
a consultant and from then on ive had a
scan once a month to keep a check on
things, it seems from some of the things
iread on this forum we have nothing to
complain about even the americans who pay
for treatment seem to wait quite a while,
we get it for free. Anyway good luck and
I hope you get sorted soon
