Overload

I am operating on overload right now. Way on overload. I took a sick day yesterday because I didn't feel well and now I'm at work. I don't feel very well again today and I just feel run down, empty and depressed. I do not want to be here but there's nothing that I can do about it because I have to work unless we want to be effing homeless. Our budget is sooo tight right now that we can't afford to miss a single paycheck. I am mad at myself and mad at my husband and mad at an economy that makes both partners have to work just so you can live without constantly looking over your shoulder for a shut-off notice. It's simply not fair. I know life isn't fair but guess what? today i'm going to b*tch about it. i feel trapped and i want to get the hell out of here but i can't. i'm forced to sit here in this effing chair all day and listen to bs and put up with bs just to make enough money to pay the rent, the bills and buy food. i'm beyond sick of this. i'm also starting to believe that something is seriously wrong with me because I'm starting to feel like I can't take stress of any kind. Every tiny thing is setting me off lately. I can't even take my vacation because I still have to be on call until they get a new maintenance tech. this blows.

Aww, I'm sorry you're having a rough time. I think as much taxes as we pay, that the government could give us a break of some kind....like your utilities are way too much, imo. Wouldn't it be nice if they could calculate your wages, and heat bill, and pay for part of it?

they have something like that through liheap but supposedly we make too much for it. Kind of a catch 22 there, If my gas bill wasn't so high i wouldn't need to apply but since it is i can't afford to pay it. Rolling Eyes

I don't think there is anything wrong with you I know exactly how you feel. Each person can only handle so much and when you are at the breaking point each tiny little things seems like a mountain. I have the same overwhelmed don't want to do anything attitude at the moment. Idon't think I"m quite were you are but I was Monday, it was awful I couldn't funtion properly and I didn't go to work either. Try to take one thing and one day at a time, and knock some of the things off your list you know you can handle like dishes. I like the feeling of getting something acomplised no matter how small.

I feel like a basketcase. I'm like 2 steps away from a nervous breakdown. I want to just disappear for a week or so but that won't solve anything. It'll only make things worse. I do feel better when I manage to actually complete something. Maybe I'll just pull an all nighter and try to knock out my whole list. I'll feel like hell tomorrow but at least I'm off on Friday. That way if I get it all done tonight, I won't have anything to do this weekend and I can just relax!!! Thanks!!!!! That would take a load of stress off!!!

I know how you feel, but I have no reason to feel that way. I get up, go to work, come home and all I want to do is lay down and go to sleep. I don't want to cook, I don't want to do dishes, I don't want to go to the grocery store, I don't want to clean my house. I don't know what is going on. I feel like a robot doing the same thing over and over again day after day just to get the bills paid. I keep saying that I am going to force myself to actually sweep the floors. Maybe tonight I will make myself then I can relax on the weekend as well.

At least where I work we don't get days off for Easter. I wish that would be great. I'm jealous.

I was just thinking the same thing. I am working for the county now and they are actually off tomorrow. I have never had a day off for Easter. This will be a first, and I can't wait to get some time off to take care of things around the house....

I work for the federal government and we don't even get one of the days off. My husband works in a factory and they get tomorrow off; it's just not fair. I couldn't let him spend the day at home alone, so I'm taking some vacation time! My house would be a wreck if he were to be there by himself all day!!!! Shocked

We get pretty much the same, except for the day after thanksgiving, the day before christmas and the day before new years. We don't get those. We do get veterans day though. I'm not complaining, we have 10 paid holidays a year, which is great. I just hate it when my husband has a day that I don't. I go home and can see every single place he has been!! It drives me absolutely crazy! But, right now, I guess it really doesn't matter. Our house is turned upside down right now anyway due to some remodeling...to make room for baby.
