Don't Know What to Do....

Hey ladies I have a question for you all
who have had children already. Okay,
jayden is 6 months old as most of you
already know. Well right now she is on
gerber 1st foods. Should I switch her to
2nds yet? I mean I keep having ppl tell
me that she should be give stuff like baby
cookies, kix, froot loops, ya know finger
food stuff. Well I gave her a baby
cookie the other day and she crushed it up
in her fist and at a small piece and
started choking! It was so scary. She
does exhibit up and down chewing motions.
Should I just try again I mean does she
just need to get used to it or what? I
know all babys develop diff...I am just
confused. What types of things were your
children eating at 6 months? Ohh and by
the way none of her teeth are in yet..One
is almost all the way through though.
And my other question is I have read that
at 6 months they should be able to start
to say stuff like mama and dada. I mean
jayden talks up a fricken storm and makes
all kinds of noises. Sometimes I
actually have troubles getting her to be
quiet...Anyways..She dosen't say mama and
dada or baba. Did your children? How
old were they when they did?

Ok
he has no teeth right
i would try mixing a little of stage 2
with stage 1 see how that works
i bought my son teething toast all babys
are different though you have to pick what
to do its not going to hurt him to stay on
stage one for a while I wish I was more
help but my son was not able to eat baby
food much and no cereal at all he was
allergic (spelling) to almost all of it
and was on special mike till he was 3 he
as not able to drink milk till he was 3
and sometimes that made him sick you can
always talk to your dr but as I said all
babies are different and I would gradualy
swich him over to stage 2

I disagree jennifer.. This is my outlook
at 6 months sean was eating baby cereal,
stage 1 and stage 2 and sometimes a jello
cup. You can now start cutting up little
pieces of a real banana and giving jayden
that, she'll like that. Sean is now 10
months old, sleeps through the night(has
been), is bigger than most babies but well
proportioned..He eats table foods, he is
moving away from the cereal, and only
takes 3 bottles through the day..I cant
tell you what to give your child but I
think that I have given you some pretty
good advice in the past.. Keep me posted
on her..P.S. I wouldnt do the teethy
cookies yet..Not yet..Maybe 2 more months

I started giving my son little things when
he was four months. I started off with
things like babanas, you soft things.
When I saw that he got the hang of eating
his fruits I gave him soft vegtables.
Then I gave him cookiies, but those baby
biscuit ones. Because after they have
them in their mouth for a while it gets
soft and kind of like melts. But all
children are different and grow in
different stages. I would try again and
if theres a problem hold off a few weeks
on it.

Well I went ahead and gave her some kix
cereal today. Omg she loves it so much
and she actually gumms away at it until
its all mashed up, and then swallows it.
I am so happy and so is she! She had a
blast snacking away at them. Thanks for
the info about #2 foods jen.
