I got my period. Like I knew I would. *sigh*

I went to view that apartment.. and it was so much smaller than I thought it was. It wasn't worth £550 a month.. and the deposit was like £1300, which we can't afford right now. It's in a really sought after area, so even if we really liked it we probably wouldn't have the money in time.

I dyed my hair again to make myself feel better (same colour.. it fades really quickly) and my friend has invited me out tonight for a drink to cheer me up.. but I dunno if my mum would babysit so we'll have to see.

Meh.

On the plus side I get to try out my new mooncup thingy.. so far so good Laughing

that silicone cup thing that you use on your period instead of tampons. Remember Kia told us about it...

Yeah pretty much. It's good, but it's a bit uncomfortable removing it because it's much wider than a tampon and I had like 3 long rows of stitches in there that are still sore.

How does a mooncup work? Just out of interest really because of obvious reasons the monthly visitor hasn't been for a while!

I totally misread you. I thought you said three stiches. You said three rows of stiches. How many stiches did you need?

I have no idea.. but they spent 2 hours stitching me up altogether. Not fun =(

Danni.. you fold it in half, insert it (it unfolds inside you) and then after 4-8 hours remove it, and tip the contents down the loo. Then rinse it and reinsert it. I like the idea of never having to use tampons and pads ever again.. and it forms such a tight seal that there's no leaks, unlike tampons.

I went to the website and it seems pretty good in some ways but I don't know if I could deal with actually dumping out my blood. That thought just....ewwww. I would have to get past it. Very interesting info., though.

I wish. hehe

Mel, you just grab the stem at the bottom of it n pull it out a bit, then gently squeeze it and move it from side to side until it comes out. That can be a bit messy.. I'm thinking of not using it again until I get the coil fitted because then my periods will be a lot lighter.
