Hi, I'm currently 14 weeks 3 days pregnant
with my second child. In May 2004 I had a
LEEP performed due to dysplasia. I was
informed at my first prenatal appointment
that 2mm of my cervix was removed during
the procedure and that I would have to
have my cervix monitored during my
pregnancy. I don't have the appointment
with the specialist until May 9th, when
I'm 18 weeks pregnant. From everything
I've seen online they check this around 13
weeks. With 2mm of my cervix being
removed I am wondering if this should be
checked sooner and if I have a high risk
of needing a cerclage placed.
