Apparently no-one wants to be friends with
me anymore. I used to have two really
close friends, one guy and one girl.
I found out the guy likes me and avoids
talking to me because he hates the idea of
me having a boyfriend.
The girl.. well I don't know what happened
there. I guess she moved on.. she has so
many good friends and she drives all over
the place going to see them every day of
the week. I think the fact that I have
.Jenny has become a real issue with her..
I can't do "cool" things anymore, like
stay out til 3am in some random guy's
house drinking vodka straight outta the
bottle like I did when I was 16. She
hasn't grown up, and I have.. and it's
hard, because now I don't have anyone. I
don't have any friends who are mums, and I
don't go to baby groups or anything
because all the other mothers are in their
20s and 30s. I get looked down upon like
some irresponsible promiscuous person.
I know, I know.. I'm going to get told
"welcome to motherhood, you don't get to
party anymore".. but that's not what I
wanna do. I want to have a few friends
round and just chat, or go to the beach or
something with .Jenny and have an ice
cream. I didn't think that was asking a
lot of anyone.. but I guess I was wrong.
I wish you guys didn't live so far away =(

I'm sorry you feel like that. Can I ask
how old you are? I had my daughter when I
was 17. I lost all but one of my friends,
they were all doing their own things,
partying, going out, getting drunk. Even
after I had her they wanted nothing to do
with me because my ex-husband alienated
all of my friends. It's hard, I still
have a hard time making friends and I'm
not that old, I'll be 21 this month and
I'm pregnant with baby #2. I know it's
hard, but things eventually get better.
Just wait until they have kids, then
they'll know. It happened to my best
friend, know she understands how I felt
when I had my daughter. I'm here to talk
if you want to.

You're welcome. I know how hard it can
be. Even though I am no longer with my
husband and have someone else in my life
now and we're having a child, the friends
I use to have are for the most part
non-existant in my life. Even the ones
that I made after I had her. It's the sad
part of life I guess. I hope things start
looking up for you soon. Are you a single
mother or is the father helping out? I am
now raising my daughter alone and it's
hard, but I'm surviving.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. Are
there any mommy groups around that maybe
you can meet new people at and make new
friends? Somehow through Facebook.com a
bunch of girls with kids in my area found
each other and now we have monthly get
togethers and such. Its great to get out
and meet new people with kids that way you
have someone to relate to about parenting
things and the kids can play together. So
try looking for groups in your area or
something! And if all else fails the
ehealth girls are always here for you!

Zanny I know where you're coming from with
the friend thing. People change when you
have a baby or maybe you change when you
have a baby. Probably it's a bit of both.
My so-called best friend keeps standing
me up for things lately and we used to
talk to each other every day but we might
talk once or twice a month now. Stupid
heiffer. She started getting weird while
I was pregnant but we still talked and
hung out but once i had the baby it was
like poof...she's gone!
If she ever has a baby then she'll
finally understand but by that point I
definitely won't want to deal with her.

I know how you feel with the friends
thing. I still talk to some of my friends
online but when it comes to hanging out
with me forget it. It really sucks
