Ive been having this problem with people
kissing my baby, and its driving me crazy.
Im really concerned that he might beable
to contract something from them kissing
him... Mainly herpes is what im worried
about because its like everyone has it now
days..Well i dont and neither does my
partner, And though nobody has ever kissed
him on the lips, Im curious is it
dangerous for people to kiss him on the
cheeks or forehead?? Just how easily is
it to spread oral herpes. Please any
information on this would be much
appreciated as this is driving me crazy,
im contstantly being worried about it but
i dont want to tell people(like my family)
to not give my baby a kiss. Thank you for
the help!

Wow!!! I can certainly understand your
fears. When you have a baby, you think of
all the bad things that are out there and
as a good parent you want to protect your
baby from it all.
I'm really not sure if your baby could
contract a herpes virus from kissing on
the forehead? That is a really great
question. I wouldn't let anyone with a
cold sore or other lesion around or on
their mouth kiss my baby, you would think
someone with cold sores, etc wouldn't want
to, but some people just don't have any
common sense.
If people kissing your baby bothers you
that much, don't let them. This is your
baby, and people need to respect your
decisions. You are the mommy!!!

exactly.
Don't feel guilty or silly or anything...
I'm not to sure about contracting herpes
by kissing the cheeks forehead etc. ... I
don't think so ..but don't take my word
for it.
But that is beyond the point, your child
is your child. It doesn't matter if it's a
complete stranger or your mother... if you
arent comfortable with them kissing him
then you have every right to say so. Don't
be afraid to put your foot down when it
comes to your kid... it will only cause
you great anxiety later!
