I am NOT being lazy! I just don't want to go.. When I wrote about 'sleeping in, going fishing' etc.. I mean that I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO! You know I hate it when people think that they are better because they go to church. I really do.

I hope you know that I'm kidding around. The only time I've gone into a church in the past twenty years is when I was paid to play for a service.

A Pinto in a garage doesn't suddenly become a Mercedes.

LOL You're funny. I just hate how people pull god into these conversations about abortion. I think that its crazy. So, I thought I would put a different perspective into this whole GOD thing. I do believe in God, but I don't believe that people should have to say its against gods will etc etc. Because I am sure that GOD would forgive.. LOL I don't know.. I was pregnant I recently lost a baby, and am kinda ticked with this whole god thing. Anyway, I think if there wasn't abortion then the world would be way too over populated. Personally, I wouldn't do it. BUT thats because I know I could take care of a baby and would want to. HOWEVER, if I was like 11 years old I probably wouldn't want to have a baby.. You know what I mean.. Oh about the lazy thing.. To be honest I didn't know exactly what that meant, but I thought about it and thought.. HEY I AM NOT LAZY LOL AND ATTACKED! Trust me I am not lazy I take care of infants 10 hours a day.. LOL- I deserve to sleep in!

I didnt turn you into less of a Christian, even if the whole concept of what you previously believed Christianity somehow moved you towards chriatianity...you would not have been a christian in the truest sense of the word. It is better that you do not become a christian at all than become a "false prophet"

"So...he's about violence and fear mongering?"

no you dont understand... the message that JC taught was never going to bring peace to the world because of humanities failure not Gods.... but none the less it was the truth that needed to be proclaimed in order that those who understood would believe... the church the "eklasia" the "called out ones"

Christians are not at peace with the world, your a fool to think so, the world is our enemy (love your enemy) we live in the world but we are not part of the world, the world is not part of us we have been in conflict for over 2000 years. Christianity is a rejection of what the world offers...fast cars, fast women, fast money ect and upholds and promotes the eternal things, things that perhaps you would consider part of the world but in actuality are not, the family, love, community, charity, hope etc

And yet the people who spread christianity do teach God's morals but don't live with it themselves. I used to be a catholic but now I'm not. I still believe in God though but I wouldn't consider myself Christian anymore. If Jesus Christ is indeed a "loving" God and he has everything and knows everything, wouldn't it be possible for him to spread religion AND peace? Shouldn't the LOVING God care about women's rights to choose. Shouldn't he care more about the millions of innocent lives that were lost during the Christian movement. Shouldn't he care about the poor and unwanted children in this world.

I don't understand why Christianity is not a part of the world where in fact God created the world for the people.

How do you know that god created world for the people?

"We live in a society which separates church and state, but not really. I. Am.Not. Christian> but I am constantly being subjugated to Christian values and morals. Even in our very laws (ex: polygamy is against the law. Why? Religion. Homosexual marriage. Against the law. Why? Religion.) Abortion is a very hot topic (oh yeah back to that topic) and using religion as a reason for it being illegal or frowned upon is fine--IF you subscribe to that religion. However, for me the argument holds no clout, as I am NOT CHRISTIAN!!! Should I bless you for stepping on ants because they are reincarnations of my ancestors?"

.......................................... .......................................... ........................

We are a democracy....... apparently!

You are subjected to Christian values and morals because the majority of the nation is Christian. The argument should "hold clout" not because you are christian but because you believe in democracy. To deny christian values and mortals and legislate contary to Christian values and morals is to deny and legislate contary to democracy and moves society closer to autocarcy and despotism, one of the major social issues of our time is the fact that the majority of people feel they have become the forgoton children of society and have less rights than minority groups.

I would like to read some examples of this. Please expound.

Glad I could make you chuckle, Dale123.

I kind of wish the topic hadn't of been locked, or at least moved or something. Although where to, I dunno. This is how people think and believe; we can't ignore them.

I was surprised that no one yet brought up that the sex act is not the primary force behind someone's sexuality. Many homosexuals do not even engage in anal sex, yet anti-gay folks are quick to jump on this. It's the first thing that's brought up, but it has little to do with someone's sexuality.

I'm really hoping that 'guest' will come back and have a serious discussion with me on what s/he posted.

I really disagree with posts being locked. I believe in freedom of speech. Well, one thing I did learn is you can't say.. "You are a Hoe" But you can say "I Think your a hoe" I don't know thats how the law works here in canada.. I just think that it's stupid! people should be able to talk about anything that they want to.. As long as its an opinion..

I have a hard-on about censorship in general.

The internet is hanging by it's toenails on the cliff of censorship valley. It creeps into ehealth frequently on the debate forums, and that bugs the heck out of me.

But I digress...

I'm sorry that the topic had to be locked but, going by ehealth's rules, it HAD gone off topic and was digressing away from sensible debate into prejudicial nonsense.

Personally, I don't mind debating ANYTHING here, even if it's off the topic of abortion as I think that's how discussions work sometimes and I like to be a flexible mod. However, if I'm made aware that such discussions are offending someone or a complaint is made to me then I have to go by the rulebook.

Sorry guys Sad
