No hun, Its HBV, Virus causing hepatitis B.

Transmission from mother to child.
Pregnant women infected with HBV can pass the virus to their babies. If you have hepatitis B, having your baby receive a shot of hepatitis B immune globulin at birth, along with the first in a series of three hepatitis B vaccines, will greatly reduce your baby's risk of getting the virus.

Hey Vol, my mom has Hep b and Hep c and she gave birth to 5 children. My oldest sister also has hep c but it is not aggressive. Needless to say I think that your baby should be okay especially with all of the advancements in modern science.

Btw, my mom didn't know she had either virus whenever she had any of us. Four out of five healthy babies is not bad. Also, my sister didn't know that she had Hep c until she was pregnant about a year ago. I am sure your baby will be perfect.

sounds like your gyn didn't want to scare you by telling you all about it, but not telling you is more scary.

I hope that everything works out well!

I agree with the girls. don't worry, it is not worth it. Even if they say you have it, there are treatments for it so your little one does not get it. The good news is that as long as they detect it, they can do something about it. Good luck and my prayers are with you.

I can't believe I missed this post this weekend.

Like the other girls have said, I'm sure that everything will be ok and it won't harm your baby.
You are in my thoughts and prayers for a safe and healthy 9 months.

Keep positive and everything will be ok.
