Should I Be Worried? (pain On Side) Posted: 04-08-07 19:23pm
Hey, im 16 years old.. And the upper right
side of my back and right under my chest
at the top where my ribs start hurts. I
recently started on birth control a couple
weeks ago. I dont know if this has
anything to do with it. Maybe it's
something else, like scoliosis? .. Or
maybe I stretched a muscle to far? Me and
my boyfriend had sex lastnight, and thurs
night.. Could it have been from that? Ahh,
so many things haha. But does anyone have
an idea of what it could be? Let me know
Smile
thanks!

It sounds like you simply pulled a muscle
at some point. It is not due to the birth
control; and at this age, you would have
already been diagnosd with scoliosis by a
school physician during yearly checks.

How long does the pain last for? Sometimes
after we have sex or even if we have a bit
play, I get a pain sounding similar to
what you seem to be feeling, sort of like
a cramp but underneath my chest, it's hard
to explain and might not be the same but I
assume I've just been lying in an odd
position and it's just the muscle. It can
really hurt though.

sounds to me like you just strained a
muscle. i woundnt worry to much about it.
if the pain last for a long period of
time, and you are really that woried you
should go see a doctor for a check up. it
cant hurt you know. also, im pretty sure
it has nothing to do with your birth
control. but if you have ruff sex or
something you might have just moved your
body into a weird position. just give it a
few days and take it easy.
