Middle Right Back Pain While Sleeping
Posted: 04-09-07 12:57pm

When I go to sleep a night everything is fine, then come 5hours into my sleep my middle back start to hurt, and I lose sleep or I take an advil. When I get up everything is fine. It does not bother me during the day, only when I sleep. Any ideas as to what this may be? Please let me know. Or any ideas to fix it? I prefer not to have to take advil, or anything.

I have the same pain, it seems that after sleeping on my right side the pain starts just above my right hip. After that, any position is uncomfortable, and the pain seems to be in my back and then comes the left side just above the hip. So, i'm starting with the easiest solution, i'm going to sleep with a pillow between my knees when I sleep on my side.....

Hello all

This is my first post here. I'm from Portugal so please do forgive my english.

I've been a Shiatsu practitioner for the past 10 years now. And let me tell you that back pain is what I see most.

Usually the problems are in one of two conditions. Too much weight or a mattress not suitable for you. The second is easier to solve. Change your mattress.

The second is more complicated. We're talking about weight loss which is not only hard but require a mindset which is not that much compatible with the life we have to take.

If the problem does not reside on none of the above you need to look into it. Could be a kidney problem. When you get up in the middle of the night do you feel the urge to urinate? Can be a posture problem. Do you have a job that you need to be on the same position a lot of time? Can you describe a little more the pain? Is it acute only in one place? Does it spread across the lower back? Does it affect your arm? Does it feels more on one side? which side?

Smile I'll try to help, send me more information.
