How to test & diagnose the kidneys?
Posted: 04-10-07 10:10am

do you think the swelling in my fingers and my feet are of concern and is it directly related to the hydro of my right kidney. I don't have pain anymore when I urinate so maybe I did pass a stone. How do i know if the hydro has gone away or if my kidney is getting worst?

Swelling of the hands and feet at this time should probably not be your primary concern. Your primary concern should be the kidney condition and the cyst you are experiencing in your abdomen. The kidneys’ function are measured according to the presence of urea and creatinin in the blood. Additionally, doctors examine the kidneys using urinary analyses. An ultrasound scan should be also performed to evaluate hydronephrosis. It seems also that the cyst in the abdomen has to be removed as soon as possible.
