Hey everyone I just found out that I'm pregnant with my 3rd child. I'm only five weeks so still very early yet. My dh and I were both a bit surprised but we are getting used to the idea. This past summer I was an egg donor for my aunt and she just had a baby girl on March 28th. I was with her when she had her c-section and I didn't even know that I was pregnant. I'm glad that I am pregnant because after seeing her new baby girl (who looks just like me I might add lol) it made me think that I wanted another one. I just didn't think that it would happen this fast. I conceived after being off the pill for only 2 months. Anyways I'm 29, I have one son 11yrs and a daughter who is 4 and I'm from Canada. Anyone else from Canada

Hello and welcome to the forum! Very Happy And congrats on the pregnancy!

My name is .emily, and i am currently 27 weeks pregnant with my first baby, a little girl. My due date is .july 9th. like you, i was surprised at first because i got pregnant my first month of being off the pill. but me and my husband couldn't be more excited. the time sure does go by fast (although at times it seems it couldn't be going any slower).

again, congrats on baby #3, and keep us posted!

Thank You For the Welcome!!
Hey Jess. I'm from Sudbury Ontario. It was definitely an emotional experience being an egg donor. It is hard seeing a baby that looks just like you and yet it is someone else's baby. I think that this pregnancy will help me not to think about it so much. Anyways are you expecting or ttc. By the way I love the name Trey!

Hey ebarnhard33 congrats on your pregnancy with your baby girl. I hope that everything has been going well. I didn't think that it could happen that fast after stopping the pill. My dh says " I warned you that I was fertile"lol Smile When are you due

Congrats on your pregnancy! I too, am one that got pregnant very quickly after coming off the pill. It was quite a shocker!!! But, we are thrilled and I am now 21 weeks along with a little girl.

Kudos to you too! I'm not sure I could donate my eggs, that would be so hard!

I think it would be hard for me to know that there was a child out there with my dna, that I wasn't raising.

Welcome to ehealth, i pop over to the pregnancy side of the forum so often. I have 2 children already a son who is 20 mths i think haha omg i cant remember 20 or 21 mths he turns 2 in august though and a almost 4 mth old daughter she was born christmas day. I was off the pill a month when we got pregnant with my daughter hubby was only down for 2 weeks before heading to germany, so it happened alot quicker then we thought. In the end it wasnt to bad just wasnt lookin forward to being pregnant and moving at the same time but i got through it.
We are all here to offer support , answer questions , even if you just need to vent wich we do in the community chat forum hehe.

why?thats all it has is your dna.yeah it was your egg,but someone elses body grew that child and that someone else is raising them.I don't see how that could bother someone. It's not like you had the kid and it got adopted.(not slamming you! Wink )

Re:egg Donation
When I began the whole experience of being an egg donor I wasn't sure how I was going to feel. I had to meet with counsellors to see if I was mentally fit to go through the process. Obviously I was because I did it but it wasn't easy. I had to do lots of fertility drugs and it was a painful experience during the egg retreval (sorry for the spelling) But I am happy that I did it because i made my aunt the happiest woman in the world. When i watched the baby being born I cried more than I did for my own 2 children's birth and I'm not too sure why that is. It was just very emotional for me. I know that I do not have a bond with that baby like her mother does but I really feel like I love her in a special way. Nobody can really say how they would feel seeing their "offspring" look up at you but then knowing that that baby will never be yours, especially when she looked exactly like my daughter. I had no idea that I would feel this way until she was born. It is definitely getting easier!
