My husband and I have been trying for
almost 3 years to get pregnant. I have
been pregnant before but miscarried at 3
months. We have had no luck since the
miscarriage and I have recently started
spotting ALOT. I have been to see my
doctor and recently he has put me back on
b/c for 6 months...but I was never really
told what was wrong. Am I wrong to feel
afraid about being back on the pill??

You are not wrong to feel afraid, but I
really wish the doctor would have
explained things to you a little bit
more.
Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding is common,
the truth is that we often do not know why
women will have abnormal bleeding. If you
are cancer free, your cervix is normal,
and you are not on your period, sometimes
the reason is just honestly 'unknown'.
Birth control pills are very often
prescribed to stop the vaginal bleeding,
as they are very effective at stopping
bleeding.
Hormonal imbalance can cause bleeding, and
BC Pills can help level things out.
Bc pills are very low dose hormones, and
are actually quite safe for most women, so
they are ideal in controlling bleeding.

Thank you so much for that. He didn't
explain anything to me...but I do know
that my last PAP test came back fine and
that was in Feb. So I know there is no
cancer. I just feel a bit defeated in the
fact that I haven't gotten pregnant again.
But the last time I did get pregnant was 3
months after I went off the pill. So maybe
this is a blessing in disguise!! At least
I hope so.

Many women TTC will be given BC for 3
months, because for reason our ovaries are
very ready to go soon after we stop using
BC.

Thanks for all the info...its good to
know. I feel much better now. I was
thinking of getting a second opinion but
was kind of uncomfortable with it cuz I
have been going to the same doc for so
many years.
