When you go to the hospital and during
your stay, be sure to be completely
comfortable and honest. This is what I
mean...Don't be afraid to ask for
something if you need it! That is what
the nurses and such are there for. If
you need to get short and cranky towards
one of them..Feel free! I had a kinda
crappy hospital stay, I was afraid to tell
them how I felt and I was shy to call a
nurse and such. Ohh and remember when
you leave...Take everything that is in the
little plastic basinet that the baby is
in. Most of them have drawers under it
and its filled with formula, diapers,
tshirts, wipes, qtips, alcohol wipes.
Think about it...Your paying for that in
your hospital cost! Take advantage of
anything you can get!!

Sara,
that all sounds like a great idea. When
I got put in the hospitol a couple days
ago, I was afraid to ask for them to get
me anything. I did not want them to
think me as a pest, lol. My mother
finally said you need something, you tell
them, that is there job. So when the
nurse came in I said can I have some ice
chips. She said sure, hun I am so sorry
for not asking would you like anything.
She raised off and came back with a nice
big cup full of ice chips. I was so
happy.

Yep I was the same way. I didn't want to
be a pest either! That sort of made my
stay uncomfortable. Next time I am going
to act like a princess and ask for
everything!!!!! And like I said...Be
sure to take everything in the drawers
under the babies little bed, all that is
included in your hospital bill..So why not
take what your paying for (or your
insurance..Hehe). I got a lot of
formula, it lasted about a week after I
got home. And it was the ready mixed
bottles which were real nice for travel.
Also I got a big ol' thing of diapers that
also lasted about a week. I got a real
nice blanket, and about 5 baby tshirts
also, baby wipes, and even some baby bath.
It was nice to have some extra stuff and
it was all like smaller sized so it was a
perfect size for the diaper bag.
