Is anyone having cavity on your molar without a trace of any infection.?Can I leave the cavity unattended where I have some occasional sensitivity when in contact with lemon substance. Is there anyone who has left unattended without trouble for long. Is there any real need to go to dentist unless there is infection on cavity. Can anyone with a cavity but without infection guide whether there is harm or no harm to leave the tooth unattended and if so how long? At what later date I can see a dentist if I do not need to see a dentist at this stage?Would appreciate help.Bye

There's no way you could have a cavity in a tooth without having had the caries (or infection) actually make the hole. As long as it left untreated, it will continue to get worse and worse, possibly resulting in exposing the nerve in the jawbone, which as I understand is excruciating pain. No cavities should be left unattended as you are risking the entire dental health of all your teeth.

It could be that you don't see any infection because it hasn't gotten really bad yet, so that part would be good.
