Enlarged Areola Since Age 12 Posted: 04-13-07 00:32am
About two years ago, when I was 12, I
noticed small lumps under each of my
areolas. I asked a few of my friends about
it and one of them was experiencing the
same sore, rubbery lumps. After about a
year, the soreness and the lumps left, but
then it caused my areolas to expand and
puff out. I can still feel a pillow of
tissue under each one, and it makes me
self-conscious. I've heard different
things about it, that its gynecomastia or
a strange disease which has to do with X
& Y chromisones, but I'm not sure.
I would greatly appreciate any advice you
could offer. I'm hoping this will clear up
within a year.
