Tubal pregnancy & risks to the baby Posted: 04-13-07 01:45am
I had a tubal after my last pregnancy, and
believe I may be pregnant again. My last
pregnancy, I had low hormones so it took
longer to find out that I was pregnant.
If I am pregnant, are there any risks to
the unborn baby?

You'll need a blood-based pregnancy test
to either confirm or exclude pregnancy.
Tubal pregnancies usually have lower
hormone levels than a normal pregnancy.
Blood-based tests can identify the
pregnancy and monitor HCG levesl. Lower
or decreasing HCG levels are a risk for
the baby and should be followed.
