Nope completly false. If you go on ebay
and type in 'pregnancy belly bar' then you
can find loads of ones made esspecially
for the needs of a baby belly. it's made
of a flexible plastic which moves with
your body and it's longer for comfort etc.
The only down side to keeping one in is
that you are very likely to get stretch
marks around the piercing much like the
one i've got over the
bar.
true.the only way your
belly bar will fall out is if it's
rejecting and if it is fully healed,it
should not reject.
even if you had your belly pierced in the
past but have not had it in for a long
time,you are likely to get a mark there.

it's ok hunnie. I kept a normal metal bar
in for a while but it started pinching,
the only store near me who sells them were
sold out and i couldn't wait for them to
get some more in because it hurt too much
so i just ebayed it

I think the name of the bar bells for
pregnancy is PTFE barbell, hope this helps

I had to take mine out ( i had it pierced
on top and bottom) just cause it seemed to
get infected right away (like it stretched
out or something im not sure) but I also
do not pierce well.. oh well ive had the
top done 5 times already and i plan on
going for number six as soon as shes out.
I love pregnant tummies with belly rings
ive heard that keeping it in can sometimes
cause stretch marks in that area
though..any truth to that?

I haven't heard much about stretching
around the piercing, but I also have one
and I think I'll have to take it out as it
seems that the ring is almost coming out
of my skin. Does that make any sense?! I
had it done when I was 19 and I'm now 31,
so maybe it's just that time. But I love
my belly ring!
Vanessa - do you have any stretchies yet?
I'm only at 19 weeks, so I don't have
anything yet, but I'm hoping I don't get
too many if they do come (don't we all
wish that!!!!

Oh yes there is truth to that! i've got
one over the bar part and my sister got
stretchies all around hers when she had
her kids

im still all clear on the stretch marks
but my sister told me she got all of hers
the last 2 weeks of pregnancy so im a
little afraid thats whats going to happen
to me..so far so good though! a little
over 12 weeks to go!
