Menstrual bleeding: period arrived early...what's wrong? Posted: 04-15-07 06:45am
I went off the pill on Thursday 29th march
and got my periods on Sunday 1 April. I
was meant to get them on Monday 2 April if
still on the pill, but they came early.
Lasted for 5 days. Now got them again on
14th april. Not sure what is going on. Is
this normal?

Early bleeding might be spotting. Spotting
is considered "abnormal" vaginal bleeding.
Spotting could be either functional in
nature, which means that it could be due
to a hormonal disorder. Spotting might
also indicate an organic disorder that is
due to an infection(s), tumor, etc. You
SHOULD consult your gynecologist
immediately and request an examination.
