Feeling a Bit Crappy
Posted: 04-15-07 13:23pm

I haven't had the blues really during pregnancy apart from right at the beggining when .Dom's parents were being urrrrm *interesting* but today i've suddenly felt a bit down about pregnancy etc. I never had a fear of labour and birth but suddenly today i'm terrified, i've started worrying about the possibility that i'll breastfeed her wrong and she'll have to go onto formula straight away and just in general that i won't be a good mother. I guess it's just nerves because it's getting closer Crying
or Very sad

That's normal. I felt the same way. After I had her I felt that way too. I felt that I wasn't a good mother and she rather be with my husband. It'll go away. You'll do fine.

Awww...I'm sorry your feeling so down. It's 100% normal. Most people go through that ...OMG what the hell am I doing...I can't do this stage. Maybe you should take some classes to build some confidence. I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job. You just need some r&r. Maybe go shopping or for a walk or a nice bath or even a nap.

I hope your feeling better soon.

~big hug~

honey, totally normal. i got that way, too. i wasn't afraid of labor at all up until the last few weeks i was pregnant. then i got really nervous. & i started thinking about how i was going to be a mom & things would never be the same again.. i even caught myself thinking (more than once) that i didn't want a baby & i didn't want him to be born. but it'll pass! once i went into labor & once he was born, i was completely in love with him. you'll be a great mom. i was scared i wouldn't be able to do it, but your instincts really take over.

Hey girl!!!! I hope you're feeling better now, and of course, you will be ecstatic once you see your little one on the monitor when you go for your u/s!!!! I go for mine tomorrow and I can't wait!
I think it's nature that we all get scared and nervous at many points throughout our pregnancy, but don't worry, it's natural to feel this way at times, and it will pass. I'm sure you be a wonderful and loving mother and we will all learn how to cope and get through anything that comes our way!
Keep that chin up and think of how beautiful your baby will be!
Post your pic's from your u/s if you can so we can see your little one too! Good luck Wink
