Good Lord woman!!! Where are you from? I
take pitty on you. However I didn't know
about it until about 3 or 4 years ago (
So
who am I to talk, right?) and my hubby
took me to a mexican restaurant for my
birthday and the staff came out and sang
to me and brought me a fried ice cream. It
was heaven. (and
embarassing!)
It sounds tasty.. yum!!
..and btw, i'm from .toronto

I use to work at a mexican food restaurant
and we used our flour tortilla dough to
make the sopapillas.....all you do is
flatten the dough and fry it up and top it
with cinnamon and sugar and then eat it
with butter and honey!!!!

Silly girl!!! Don't feel bad (I wasn't
tryin' to make you feel bad!) Cuz I had no
clue what it was either!
But I've heard of sopapillas before....I
think I've seen them in the mexican stores
around here. However, I've never eaten
one. Am I missing out on something yummy?
Laura, let me know if you find any
recipes, and I'll ask my s-i-l if she
knows how to make them. She's a fantastic
cook, I love her to pieces...she always
has us over for dinner! My in-laws are the
best.

this sounds like fried dough (what we call
it here) or indian fry bread (what they
call it in az).
