Male breasts - fat tissue around nipples Posted: 04-15-07 21:54pm
I did not know what section to put this
in, so I left it under general. I'm a
decently fit 17 year old male. I don't
have much body fat because I kickbox and
work out, but the little fat I do have
left has been bothering me lots. My nipple
and belly fat gets really puffy. I'm not
skinny enough to be able to see my ab
muscles yet (I'm getting pretty close) but
that thin layer of fat gets extremley
puffy and soft. It sometimes gets to the
point where I won't wear a T-shirt because
my nipples stick out almost a whole
centimeter. I was overweight before I
recently decided to get in shape and I've
always had soft and puffy fat. I also
noticed that I am bloated and constipated
quite often, which causes my fat to become
really puffy. I keep a good diet, drink
lots of water, hold back from ALL junk
food, sweets and pop. Please get back to
me as soon as possible because this issue
has been extremley damaging to my self
esteem. Also, my skin gets red and
irritared easily. Thanks in advance!

At your age (17) the whole body is growing
and adapting to hormonal changes. The
breasts can react to hormonal influences,
too. Therefore, increased fat tissue
around the breasts is probably due to
these hormonal influences. Given your age,
sex and height it seems that you are not
overweight. You may continue exercising to
definite your body. It seems likely that
muscle hypertrophy, especially of
abdominal and thoracic cavity, will
compensate for the fat accumulation around
the breasts.
Constipation and bloatedness can be
resolved with a diet that includes lot of
vegetables and fruit.
