For Crying Out Loud...fissures, Outbreak, Or Just Rough?

Sooo for you regulars you know that not only do I have that damned unsolvable fissure problem, but I also have herpes. I've only had one outbreak, WHICH was the worst experience of my entire life. So last night I had sex and I was all cut up like usual with painful fissures, but because of them I can't tell if I can see bumps coming back or not. If it is another outbreak, it is definitely not starting out the same as the last one. These bumps are just 2 side by side and closer to my bum than the vagina. Could these just be normal bump like pimples and I'm just being paranoid?
(and yes I know, if it continues I'll go back to the doctor...damn uncurable infection)

I think herpes may be causing the fissurs.

well see I had fissures years before I contracted herpes, that's why I don't think they're closely related...
Someone elses post made me wonder if maybe latex dries me out and then the skin just rips because there's no moisture? Any thoughts?

well i guess the only way to rule out the possibility that this problem is caused by dryness, is to make sure you are really well lubricated throughout sex. if it still happens then you know that dryness cant be the issue.

you've gotta let the fissures heal before you have sex again though! i've had them before and sometimes after a few days i would think they were healed, but then they would open up again when i had sex or wiped too hard or something.

perhaps the problem is that you just keep reopening them before they've had a chance to heal?

I don't know specifically about your problem, but I know that on certain types of birth control I've gotten really irritated after sex- as if I had lots of little cuts. It didn't go away no matter how much lube we used, and as soon as I switched b/c it went away never to return. I swear it was the b/c but no doctor has admitted that that's a side effect.

Maybe it's related? Just a thought.
