Going Off the Pill
Posted: 04-16-07 02:54am

I went off the pill on 28th March and got my periods on 1st April. I was due for them (if still on the pill) on Monday 2nd April anyway but got them early. I had them for 5 days which is normal for me but got them again on 14th April. Is this normal?

Going off the pill seems to affect people differently.
For some people it seems to leave their system immediately, for others it takes months.
It sounds like it might be hanging around in your system, so multiple .A.F.s or spotting sounds normal.
For me, it took a full month to get out of my system.

Definately normal. It takes time for your hormones to balance themselves out again after you have been controlling them for so long. Don't worry.

I am going through the same thing. I stopped my bc on 2-20-07. I have had 5 periods of bleeding since then. I have not gone longer than 13 days since the first day of my bleeding to the next. It is very frustrating. Very. But it will just take time. Some people are fortunate (like Niki Wink ) and get there bfp fairly shortly after discontinuing use. Some people (like me) will take a few months (hopefully not many) to get things on a real shedule. Good luck. Keep us posted!
