HELP!
a little over a month ago i began getting
headaches. i have periodically gotten
headaches throughout my life, but these
seemd different because it wasn't typical
throbbing, more like different pinpoint
sharp pains that would start somewhere,
then i would feel it briefly someplace
else, etc . . . they don't last long at
all (not even a minute), they come and go,
they DON'T wake me up at night, and they
don't occur at the same time during the
day. my doc prescribed a couple pain
meds, but they didn't really help. i was
starting to get really stressed about
them, and then my right lower leg/foot and
right arm started tingling. so i went to a
neurologist and had a CT-SCAN and an MRI;
both came back normal and i was told i was
overly stressed, anxious, and
sleep-deprived. I also have been
congested/runny nose for a long time, so I
was suprised to learn I didn't have
sinusitis. Anyway, I also have noticed a
few tiny red dots on my skin-- I looked
these up online and got really worried.
My doctor said that it was nothing to
worry about, but that he would do a blood
test to ease my mind. It came out normal
and did ease my mind initially, except
that I still get the spots, and I just
noticed a bump behind my ear (indicating a
swollen lymph node i think). I don't even
know if I have always gotten these kinds
of spots, but since I started getting the
headaches, I find myself constantly
looking and feeling over my body for
something new. Now I want another blood
test, the last one was done only 2-3weeks
ago, but I feel like a mistake must have
been made or something. I don't feel
fatigued, and I haven't lost any weight,
but I am just worried sick over this.
Everyone seems to think that I am having
psychosomatic symptoms and/or that my
stress is making me sick, but I have REAL
symptoms- the red spots and this lump
behind my ear aren't subjective like a
headache. Please either ease my stress or
tell me if I should go to another doctor,
or what I should be asking my doctor!!

Hi jamiek2982:
Sometimes when strange things are
happening with our bodies, we can start to
notice other things that have always been
there.
The headaches may just be migraines or
tension, I would try & keep some sort
of a diary about the headaches, take
notice of when you get them & perhaps
what you have eaten or what you were
doing.
The little lump behind you're ear may just
be a harmless cyst or bit of gristle,
quite common behind the ear but because
you have other things happening you may be
looking more intently. The red dots are
more than likely blood vessels that are
damaged. I myself have Scleroderma one of
the symptoms is Telangiectasia which is
harmless but does cause damaged vessels
that shows as red dots, try googling.
Hope you get the answers you are looking
for soon.
