Geez, that sure is scary! I hope you are itchy for another reason (dry skin?) rather than liver problems. Good luck!!

#1 cardinal rule: do not google any type of disease that you *may* have.

It's not certain that you even have one, so don't stress love!

I didn't even read it, because I don't do that. The world is scary enough, and I don't need one article to scare the bejesus out of me even more! lol!

Just relax, and think positive!

Reguardless, you'll be in my prayers!!

Sarah

Don't Panic

Unless you are a heavy drinker, or use a TON of Tylenol, I don't think you have a lot to worry about with cirrhosis. I was itchy with my last pregnancy and it DID turn out to be a liver-ish problem, but it is certainly manageable for me with the right kind of medical attention (and a lot of acupuncture). What I have is rare. Below is a link to what I think your Dr. is pondering:

But I agree with a previous poster--the internet is a scary place to get your medical info. Did you ask your Dr. What exactly he/she was thinking about?

Try not to panic it only makes you think even worse of situations. I had to have a blood test a couple of weeks ago because i have the same symptoms as you.

This is to see if your itching is part of a condition called ocd (obessive compulsive disorder)

Quote:
if anyone else in my household is itchie, how long ago i gave birth, if reese is itchie, if reese has any rashes.
This is to see if anyone else has the same thing - if so I could indicate something like maybe mites in the house or similar, or soemthing contagious

so i had to go get a blood test so they can cheak my liver
this is too rule out or identify any medical condition.

so really it's not that wierd at all.
