Q: the Earliest You Can Tell Who the Father Is

My gf is now nearly 3 weeks late and is about to have a pregnacy test, as she was with someone just after her last period before she met me it has thrown up a dilema as if she is pregnant it could be 1 of 2 people, my question is:

how soon can you tell who the father of the child would be as she does not want it if it is not mine, or does it mean that we would have to wait beyond the time in which she could have it aborted before we can establish who the father is.

Any help on this would be great.

If you have an amnio done you can find out who the father is by dna, but there are risks that go along with it and it is not really worth it. I would wait, and the doctors dont like to do amnio's unless they are necessary.

the Amnio Is Bad!!!
Hey, I am heather and I just want to say a little about that amnio. She is very right, it is very dangerous! First of all they have to stick a long needle through the belly button and into the uterus. That causes a hole and could cause leaking. A miscarriage occurs often. Was she with you a lot and only with this one guy once? The reason I ask is because if so the possibilities of it being yours are much much higher. Then look back at the time frame. If she is 3 weeks late she could be anywhere from3 weeks to all the way after her last period. If the baby was not yours, why not just do the adoption thing? You really don't want to hurt the baby if it is yours, so I suggest just wait until the baby is born, then afterwards have the test and if wrong, try adoption.

Lots of love
heather
