I was supposed to start my period on Wed
the 11th and for the following 4 days I
have had really light bleeding. I didn't
have any today. Its brown and smells old
if you know what I mean, its the kind of
blood you get at the end of your period.
( I have been on the pill and my periods
are always regular 28 days apart, I start
wed's and they start heavy and end light
the next sunday.) Second, I have been
feeling really off lately. I feel sick to
my stomach most of the time but I still
feel hungry. I also have been super hot,
felt extremely thirsty like I can't get
enough water and my foreheads been really
warm. My nipples are a little sore but
they feel huge. I was on a substitute for
Augmentin from March 5 through the 10th
875MG twice a day. I was on the pill as
well and saw my boyfriend from March 29th
through April 10. And had unprotected sex
which about three or four times where he
didn't pull out. I tested a few times
since last wed and came up negative. My
Dr. has not called me back. I am going to
test tomorrow which would be 6 days after
I was supposed to start my period. I am
just wondering if anyone has any comments
for me or has gone through the same
thing.. I don't think I am going crazy...
thanks.

amoxicillin isn't known to have an affect
on birth control tablets.
and even if they did there was a greater
than 7 days period between your stopping
them and seeing your boyfriend.
You don't say how long you have been on
the pill for, but it can gradually cause
your periods to become less heavy or even
disappear.
based on the information you have provided
I would think it unlikely that you are
pregnant, but I wouldn't rule it
impossible.
The best thing to do really would be to
get a blood test done by your doctor.

I would definately go and have a pregnancy
test just to make sure. Better to know
than worry yourself sick.
