The chances of regaining vision after a torn retina and broken nerves will depends upon how much the optic nerve and retina were damaged. The retina and optic nerve do not have the ability to regenerate themselves, so the damaged parts of the retina and optic nerve are lost permanently. Vision damage becomes greater relative to the part of the retina that has been destroyed. Eye transplantations are not medically possible for now.
