I year I have become profoundly deaf I did
a cat scan nothing looked out of the
ordinary and ENT doctors just keep
telling me the same thing profound hearing
loss of high pitch sounds if an alarm or
phone is ringing then I cant hear it at
all if someone screams I cant hear it but
I can fell a vibration deep down inside my
ears I am so young is there any chance
for salvaging the hearing that I have
right now I have to be in front people to
hear them and the tv always has to be on

If ear damage is localized in the sound
receptor in the inner ear (cochlea),
acoustic nerve, sub-cortical acoustic
nucleus, acoustic tract or acoustic brain
cortex nothing can be done. Surgery or a
hearing device, however, can be
administered if damage is located in the
middle ear or outer ear.
