Amenorrhea And Pregnancy Scares. Posted: 04-17-07 19:08pm
Hello, I'm new to the forums and just
wondered if anyone goes through the same
rituals as myself.
I suffer from Amenorrhea, I am 21 and have
suffered from it for as long as I can
remeber, I was only regular on the pill,
I've been tested for PCOS and the results
came back negative although at the time
(sods law) I had started my period the day
of the blood tests after a 4 month
absence. Do you think this could have
effected a true representation of my
standard hormone levels?
Another problem and I just wandered if it
is a stressful nuissance others is
pregnancy scares. Im currently seeing
someone at the moment. We are sexually
active and always careful, but I still
have to go through the panic of always
possibly wandering if I'm pregnant due to
the absence of my period. I know it is
more likely than not due to my Amenhorrea,
but Its very difficult to know, and
Pregnancy tests are expensive.
Anyway just wandering if others experience
the same problems.
if your period could of affected your
results your doctor would of asked to go
back for another after your period had
finished so i wouldn't worry to much about
that.
i have had a couple of pregnancy scares
that came to nothing. and yes a pregnacy
test every month will cost you a lot. you
will just have to be very careful and if
you starting having any other sytoms of
been pregnancy then go to your family
planning clinic and they will give you a
test if money is an issue and they can
give you more advise
