Spotting After Period
Posted: 04-18-07 13:22pm

I have been on Yazmin for aprroximately 3+ years. I had my period as usual last week and started my new pack of pills on Sunday night. It is now Wednesday and I have had off and on spotting, really just when I wipe there is bright red blood. I have not done this before and I am kind of worried, is it something I should be concerned with?

Are you taking any medication that would cause break thru bleeding? Have you taken all of your pills on time?

You may want to consult your doctor. If there is no other reason for you to have break through bleeding your birth control may need to be switched.

I am sure there are other reasons for this. Hopefully, someone else will chime in with some advice.

i am also yasmin and a couple weeks ago i had that too for like a day and half and then it went away. my mom said that your body just does unexplainable things sometimes. i wouldn't stress ( which might make it worse) but it if gets worse or last longer then i would see the doctor. that is always your best bet.

I used to experience breakthrough bleeding also. It seems like every 2 years I was having my pills switched because of it. The only explanation I ever got was that the hormones in the pills weren't strong enough. I would make an appointment with your doctor or gyn and see what they say.
