I am getting so sick of this heartburn. I
have to take pepcid everyday and that
doesn't seem to be doing the trick
anymore. For the past few nights, I have
felt like I needed to vomit because the
heartburn has gotten so bad!! I never had
heartburn with Nathan.

I feel for you... my heartburn has gotten
so bad I cry almost everynight at bedtime
(that's when it seems to get worse).
I don't really have any suggestions except
for really pay attention to what your
eating, even though it may not be what
usually causes heartburn , with pregnancy
anything goes... I can't even eat doritos
and I want them so bad!
If you pay closer attention to food you
may learn what types make it the worst ...
but if your anything like me, somedays you
can drink a bottle of water and get it!
I hope you feel better!

How far along are you again? I am now 26
weeks.
I am pretty bad at watching what I eat. My
favorites are onions and mustard. That is
my all around craving this time around -
sounds gross, huh?? It's probably the
worst thing for heartburn. I haven't had
any spicy food or onions for four days now
and the heartburn is still bad. Dorritos
sound so good...thanks for sparking a
craving I can't have .. ha ha. I do need
to pay closer attention to what I eat. I
get heartburn worse in the evening.
People did give me some good suggestions
on my last posting about heartburn about
four weeks back. I am just still
complaining and venting. I will probably
be doing that until I deliver!!

I'm 29wks ... so we're pretty close!
Thats so funny because I've been putting
mustard on EVERYTHING!
I usually dip any meat in bbq sauce but
lately it's been mustard... now I'm sure
THAT sounds gross!
Yea I want doritos so bad, I just eat
tortilla chips instead... not the same
though!
Vent and complain all you want, I'll do it
with ya!
It's so funny , spicy foods and a lot of
non spicy foods
give me heartburn.
anything sweet gives me gut rot.
I've become the biggest cry baby ever!

Have you tried drinking milk? I know a
lot of people don't like milk, but I
thought it was worth asking. It seems to
help me sometimes.

Craving mustard seemed like such a strange
craving...glad I am not alone on that
one!! Meat in mustard - that really sounds
good to me! How strange. I am also a big
cry baby lately. I have heartburn really
bad as I type this. I need another Pepcid!
I usually have milk with cereal in the
morning but that is about it. I will try
that.
Thanks for the link Azure. I actually ate
a York peppermint patty yesterday. Mint is
something the article states to stay away
from. I didn't know that. I am craving all
those bad things...spicy foods, mint,
caffeine, onions, mustard.
Salt acid? I have never heard of that
either. I guess I have been eating a lot
more "bad" things that would exasperate
heartburn than I had originally thought!
Make it go away!!!!!!

I crave honey mustard so I guess I don't
see it as strange to crave plain mustard.
I get heartburn too, but I am starting to
be able to tune it out so I don't think it
is that bad.

The power of the mind! It may be a while
or perhaps never that I can tune this
heartburn out. I wish I could. Perhaps I
am not busy enough!
