I
have been trying for a year to get
pregnant with no luck. After taking birth
control for 10 years, i got married and my
husband and I decieded to try for children
right away. I stopped the birth control
and had one period, for the 6 months
following this i didn't have another
period. Everyone including my Dr. told me
my body was just adjusting to coming off
birth control, but referred me to an
infertility clinic. I went to the
infertility clinic one month later and
they started me on Clomid. I then took
clomid for the last 5 months with ever
increasing doses each month. Each month
went for a blood draw with results saying
I didn't ovulate.
Now I was told the clomid isn't working
for me so they are going to start a
mini-stim on me, and sent me home with
Clomid, Gonal-F, and Novarel. In the mean
time I got a new job at a hospital and had
to have an MMR shot. Which ment I couldn't
try for a baby for at least 4 weeks. So
Dr. put me back on birth control for one
month ( against my will ) then told me to
call when I got my period for directions
on the Mini-stim. So I called today
because I got my period, and was told no
appt's available till May 15th(one more
month)... I cried... I am crying...
another month of birth control to stablize
my ovaries....More provera to force a
period.... I'm so frustrated I want to
give up... my sex life is in the toilet
beacuse my last period lasted 3
weeks(making up for lost time i guess)...
anyone else have such frustration? if so
how did you handle it with out loosing
your mind. I am loosing hope... thanks
for reading my post, if you have any
advice for me please let me know

I'm sorry that you are having such a
difficult journey to pregnancy.
I'm also sorry that I really can't give
you any specific advice on what treatments
that you have mentioned.
I do think that you should come join us on
the "Getting Pregnant" forum. You can post
the same or a similar question or you can
jump into another thread. Either way, the
women there are very knowledgable and
supportive and I'm sure someone there will
be able to give you advice.
