Hi,
I am having problems with my bowel
movements. This is embarrassing. But I
need help, sometimes when I try to go its
like the stool is to big or stuck. This
has happened 2 or 3 times. And the last
time it happened I was probably in the
bathroom for 2 hours, and i ended up
having a soar bloody bottom. Is there any
over the counter drugs I can take or
anything else that I can do to help
prevent this?
Thanks

You Have a Few Options. Posted: 04-22-07 19:28pm
hi.
you have a few options for this. You can
always go with an over-the-counter
laxative or stool softener (senna), but
those really aren't the best for you. If
you've never taken one before then using
it once or twice probably wouldn't be a
big deal, but excessive use can cause ALOT
of problems. I, personally, would stay
away from them. Can cause more problems.
of course, laxatives would only be a
temporary solution. You need to get to the
root of the problem. Go see your doctor or
a gastroenterologist, and talk to him
about it. Most likely they will give you a
laxative or something along those lines.
Possibly a colonoscopy.
You can also always go with some sort of
colon cleanser. If used a few that I like
alot. Some are better then others. Herbal
colon cleansers have a tendency to make
people constipated, so those may not be
the best. Oxygen-Based colon cleansers,
will "clean you out" and won't make you
constipated at all. You can read more
about these colon cleansers on other
threads on this forum. People talk about
them all the time.
Not sure what else to tell you. keep us
updated. good luck.
